No need to have worried
Well, that really was a waste of time and adrenalin, worrying about the game. Our spinners did it all over again, with a combined haul of 9-0-32-5. Had someone told me before the tournament began that our spinners would shred India, I'd have scarcely believed it, but here we are, through to the semifinals and then the final this weekend. On current form, I can't see Pakistan giving us too much trouble (although you never know in this shortened format, and there *is* the Umar Gul factor.
The cricket tonight
I am more than a little worried about the cricket tonight. Here's why:
* No one has ever won six games in a row in T20 ... but we have
* Given that T20 games tend to be more of a lottery than longer games, the chances must surely be increasing that we will lose one of the next three games
* One of them might be tonight ... or it might be Pakistan ... or Sri Lanka in the final
We are in totally uncharted territory tonight, and we've left out our talisman, Kallis. We've deliberately weakened the batting, and brought in the often wayward Morne Morkel.
If we have to lose, we might as well lose tonight, but I d0n't want us to lose, ever.
I am very worried about tonight!

Life with Matthew
Our boy is such a total blessing. It seems inconceivable that there was a life before our boy. He fills every day with such light, love and beauty. He is a remarkable young boy, so well behaved, and so loving of me, Karen and our wonderful domestic Mavis, who loves him as if he were her own.
Days of walking him around our extended garden, dogs attendant. Seeing him stand, slowly, hesitantly, puffingly. His smile, given so freely and so lovingly, and the giggles.
He is a remarkable young man. Just over four months old, and so strong, so determined.
But watch for that bottom lip!
Karen has been a dream mom, showing she was really born to this role. But eish, no sleep for her.
We love all that's going on around us, and I'll post lots more in weeks to come.
Look forward to your company and your conversation
