Where the Proteas went wrong today
Almost every batsman was dismissed playing with a horizontal or diagonal bat, where the pitch cried out for vertical play. England played masterfully to the slow, pudding-like nature of the pitch by bowling consistently wide of off-stump. Our batsmen committed suicide. Geoff Boycott had one piece of advice for batsmen: "Never cut before lunch or before May." Had just a few of our batsmen heeded the advice not to cut on this pitch, we'd have won.

It's notable that Steyn played very straight for his 20.
Yup. Had just one top-order batsman done the same, we'd have won.
That was part of it but the biggest problem was the same as it has been ever since Captain Crossbat has been running the show: arrogance. And the only way to lose that is to find a new captain, which for my money is long overdue.
Brian and I don't often agree, but for once we do. Captain Crossbat's time has come and gone. Robin Peterson was bullying England, and he takes him off! As just one example.
