More cable theft

Neighbour Tina Kroll writes: "Another reason for needing street lights is the cable theft. We were without electricity in Oak Avenue from Saturday to Sunday early evening. Only 51 Oak Ave Eskom pavement box was vandalised only 2 weekends ago, which left us stranded from Fri eve until Sunday late afternoon. Oak Ave is certainly not the first target and will not be the last.
"How easy it is for them to dig up cables in the icy cold darkness of quiet streets ... and they don't have far down to dig. Which street is next? Eskom cannot do anything about stopping this, but street lights might help a little."
