Domestic worker speaks out on rape ordeal

Gia Nicolaides | 20 Hours Ago

A domestic worker from Linbro Park on Wednesday said her twin five-year-old daughters are traumatised after witnessing a gang rape in the area. The woman was walking with her friend and children when they were attacked.

It is understood there have been several such incidents in recent months.

The woman described how she tried to protect her two children. She said they were told to lie down less than a metre away from where the woman was raped.

The twins have been completely traumatised by the incident, “I tried to talk about it but they do not want to talk about it because they are still scared.”

She said it was impossible to scream for help because no one could see them in the veld,” They must burn or cut this bush.”

Police are hunting for the suspects.
